The Seafair and the Bumbershoot in summer feature theatrical and musical events while the Western Washington Fair displays livestock.

Places to visit include the indoor Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park, the Pike Place Market with its fishy-smelling, tourist-thronged ambience, the Seattle Art Museum and the futuristic Seattle Center. The Space Needle which is a 183 m tall rocket-styled observation station and restaurant is a must see.

Eateries here range from the top end to the medium and budget varieties. Bimbo’s Bitchin’ Burrito Kitchen resembles a theatrical version of Acapulco.
